If you are sick and tired of classic outfits and you want to try on something new, modern and trendy, then how about wearing this essential called kimono? I decided to create this awesome compilation of street style images of ladies who appear in sweet-looking printed and boho-inspired solid color designs.
We see a black maxi kimono in floral print styled with cuffed wash blue jeans completed with peep-toe black heeled bootie-sandals.
If you don’t know what cover-up to choose, then, believe me, the best one is kimono. It’s an ideal addition that can make you look and feel trendy. This is the best piece of clothing for warm days when you just want something to cover your shoulders from the hot sun. This cover-up comes in various shapes, lengths, and designs.
It’s an ideal addition to a multitude of different outfits. And it’s an outfit that always leaves people wanting more. So, how do you wear and what can you do with this beautiful garment? Read on to find out!
Kimono is not just for the Japanese! The outfit has been spotted on the streets all over Europe and America as well. It’s a timeless piece of clothing that fits almost any style. It can dress down an outfit or dress it up.
It gives you a nice look and feel and can give any style a cool twist. This is the perfect choice for the woman that loves to change up her look on a whim, especially if you don’t have much time to spare, as it is very easy to just throw on and walk out the door. It’s extremely versatile and has been seen in different styles by different people; from casual to formal.
Casual Outfit With Kimono
If you are planning on wearing a kimono at an event where everything will be casual, then feel free to wear it without anything over it. Make sure to find the matching accessories that go with your outfit like sandals, shoes, earrings and necklaces. It will give off the look that you did put some thought into it and most importantly, you’ll be comfortable!
Since kimonos are usually very large, casual is usually the easiest way to wear it. You can just throw on a pair of jeans with a pair of sandals and you are good to go. Don’t forget the sun glasses to complete your look!
Formal:
One of the main things to consider when wearing kimonos is to know where exactly you’re going to wear them. If you are planning on a formal event like a wedding or an important meeting, then that means it will be very formal and proper. Make sure you wear something with sleeves if it will be cold out that day, otherwise just let your arms show through the kimono sleeves. This gives off the impression that your clothes are heavier than they really are for all those who do not know how fabrics work.
Since kimonos are so versatile, they can also be worn in a formal setting. A great way to do this is by adding some heels or wedges with a nice evening dress. For a more casual look, wear them with a nice pair of sandals and some jeans.
One of the best ways to wear them is by wearing it over another outfit like a dress or skirt. This way, you can still have that beautiful Asian look without having to go fully out there and wearing one by itself. By wearing it over another outfit, you still get the beautiful kimono look but this way you achieve a more sophisticated look as well.
The final say is up to the wearer. If you enjoy playing around with your style and expressing yourself through your clothing choices, then grab a kimono and go crazy.
