I have never been very good at wearing denim shorts. I always feel like I'm either dressed too casually--too college--or too dressed up and overdressed for the occasion. And even if I get it right--if the occasion calls for denim shorts and my outfit is appropriately casual or dressy, respectively--I still feel like everyone's just thinking "nice jeans!" when they look at my legs.
