Make sure to choose the one that suits your body, personality, and the upcoming occasion. It can be a pencil cut, mini, midi, asymmetric, ruffled, or perforated. It’s the skirt you get whenever your really feel like dressing up but don’t know what else to wear. Well, after investigation, research and testing, I have found that there are many different ways to style a black leather skirt.
The following article features actual outfit ideas for wearing that hard-to-style item, and is complete with outfit combinations and styling tips. The ideas featured are trendy yet versatile enough to be worn again throughout the fall/winter season as well as spring/summer season.
Outfit ideas for how to wear the black leather skirt are as follows:
Business casual
Trendy outfit ideas for business casual are a simple yet creative combination of the black leather skirt with a patterned or plain top. This is perfect if you are feeling daring and want to entirely skip the blazer/jacket.
An office outfit could be as flamboyant and extravagant as you want to make it! I would start off with a bright colour top with some flare, followed by a simple black leather pencil skirt. The final touch is to add accessories such as statement earrings, necklaces or bracelets to complement your outfit.
Casual Outfit Ideas
Black Leather Skirt and Red Turtleneck: One way you can wear the black leather skirt is teaming with a cool turtleneck. This is my personal favourite because the sleekness of the skirt allows you to wear a red coloured top. This is a great way to add some colour to your outfit without overdoing it.
Skirt + Leather Jacket: The black leather skirt also looks great with a black leather jacket. This would be more casual and youthful, but it allows you to wear a different coloured top without looking too bulky or mismatched. Find out more on black leather jackets in my post, there are some inspiring outfit ideas to try this year.
Black Leather Skirt And Tights in Same Colour: I love this combination idea when it comes to adding pops of colour to your outfit! It’s perfect for an event, when you want to look elegant yet trendy at the same time. The black leather skirt is worn with the same colour tights making your legs look slim, sexy and chic.
Anyway, I think it’s better to see the real-life photos and understand what kind of look is better to try. Scroll down and don’t forget to let me know your thoughts.
These skirts look awesome with blazers, sweaters, turtlenecks, sweatshirts and simple t-shirts. Another great news is that you can easily experiment with your outfits. If you are into a rock chic vibe, then you can simply add a leather biker jacket, rock band tee, and chunky boots. If you are into grunge style, then try this black leather skirt with a plaid shirt, dark color jacket and OTK boots. If you do like wearing casual combos, then you can go for sneakers, a sweater, and a bomber jacket.

I love the idea of wearing a black leather skirt with a white top and heels. The look is timeless and can be worn in any season- even winter! It’s certainly not an outfit for everyone, especially if you have smaller features or are concerned about the possible lack of coverage without a top underneath. However, this is still arguably one of the most daring looks that you can wear to date! And I absolutely adore the way it makes me feel when I see people wearing it.
